And Here's What We Don't Do...

Aurora Law Offices is a general-practice business law firm in Seoul, Korea. Our clients range from Fortune 500 multinationals to internationally-minded small businesses and individuals. What all of them have in common is a preference for highly personal service.

Patent & Trademark Registrations

We advise our corporate clients on intellectual property- related matters, and handle litigation in cases of infringement. But the application and prosecution of intellectual property rights is a specialized practice area requiring dedicated staff. One day we'll build this capacity, but for now we refer patent & trademark registrations to trusted allied professionals.

Taxation

Taxation is an especially complex area of practice. Although Aurora professionals are all familiar with general issues related to taxation, especially those that concern the firm's foreign clients, we do not closely follow developments in taxation rules and regulations. Accordingly, we maintain relationships with our clients' existing tax advisors and consultants, or refer our clients to allied professionals.

Lobbying and Government Relations

We have some government connections our own selves, despite our relative youth. But in principle, we prefer to leave those connections alone. To be frank, other firms do it better. When any of our clients need real heavy lobbying, we are pleased to refer to trusted professionals at other firms.

Nigerian High Net-Worth Individuals

Our firm has received a number of exciting inquiries from corrupt government officials and sons of African Big Men, asking for our assistance in spiriting funds out of their countries at no risk to ourselves. We regret that our scope of expertise is limited to Korean business only, and that we cannot accept the authors of these inquiries as clients.
