Wan-Hee Choi
The Hills are Alive... With the Sound of the Marseillaise
W.H. is the firm's lead litigation assistant, and handles
the claims practice seeking resolution of claims for cargo interests
before resorting to litigation. He maintains strong relationships with
our country's marine insurers.
From ages 13 to 16, he spent his school summers in
a shoe factory as a child laborer working brutal 12-14 hour days
stiching soles in order to earn money for tuition. That experience left
him with a strong social consciousness and bitter feelings about working
conditions and exploitation of the poor. This led W.H. to participate
in strikes and labor actions from his middle school days through college.
He enjoys trail hikes and mountain climbing, and claims
to have ambled through nearly all of south Korea's mountain ranges.
Wan-Hee Choi is a law department graduate of Korea
Maritime University, and is currently enrolled in that university's
Master of Laws course for maritime law professionals.
