Hae-Seok Jung
Calm and Reflective
Hae-Seok Jung assists Wan-Hee Choi and the partners
of Aurora Law Offices, preparing claims for pre-trial settlement negotiations
and eventual litigation on the merits. His easy-going nature helps keep
things on an even keel in our offices.
He is interested in philosophy, particularly Buddhism.
Although not a Buddhist, H.S. believes that study of Buddhist philosophy
as part of Korea's historical and cultural heritage is important to
him in finding his identity as a Korean and in finding accommodation
with modern life.
Serving his mandatory military conscription in as a
radioman in the Korean Army, Private First Class Jung found inspired
yet anonymous writings in the most mundane of places — the barracks
latrines. He has incorporated several such philosophical gems into his
studies.
Hae-Seok Jung is a graduate of Korea Maritime University,
where he was a research assistant to one of the professors of maritime
law.
