Is Size Really Everything?

Korean law firms have gotten much bigger in the years since the Asian financial crisis in 1997. The "Big Four," in particular, have grown three or four-fold over that period. And they're frantically trying to bulk up to compete. Does size really matter?

Sure, size counts, especially if a law firm is going to do everything under the sun. But bigger doesn't make a law firm better at serving clients. Bigger isn't more rewarding to work for. Bigger doesn't innovate. Bigger, per se, isn't better.

Better is better.
